Crypto firms that are interested in participating in the sandbox program can submit an expression of interest to the DFSA before April 24, 2025. The Tokenization Regulatory Sandbox is open to firms that seek to offer customers tokenization financial services, which include firms issuing, trading, or holding tokenized investment products, DFSA-licensed firms looking to dive into tokenization, and firms with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements needed. In order to take part in the sandbox, crypto firms will have to go through an assessment process. Companies that already have established business models and regulatory understanding will be invited to take part in the DFSA’s Tokenization Regulatory Sandbox. They will then receive specific regulatory support and structured testing opportunities. Most recently, Ripple secured a DFSA license on March 13, allowing the crypto firm to provide regulated crypto payment services in the Dubai International Financial Centre. Ripple has become the first blockchain-powered payments company licensed by the DFSA. Moreover, Ripple Labs has also been known to venture into real-world asset tokenization. In late January, Ripple allocated $10 million of its funds into tokenized U.S. Treasuries that were issued on the layer 1 blockchain XRP ledger.

Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez has observed a potential “sense of denial” among holders of TON, the native cryptocurrency of the TON blockchain, following recent news surrounding Telegram’s founder, Pavel Durov. In his latest analysis, Martinez highlighted the cryptocurrency’s price action, noting its struggle around a historically significant level. Using the TON/USD daily chart, the analyst pointed out that TON’s price has shown some hesitation while attempting to break through resistance around the $3.5 mark. The cryptocurrency had previously experienced a notable surge from a local low of $2.35 after a significant decline, rallying with considerable momentum before encountering resistance at its current price point. In the meantime, Martinez reviewed TON’s price for the past year and highlighted the $3.5 region as an optimistic level during last year’s bull run. The price served as a momentum boost for TON holders in the bullish market and triggered a substantial rally that pushed the cryptocurrency’s price to higher levels. Although most technical analysts could consider historical behavior and expect a repeat of last year’s price surge, Martinez thinks Durov’s ongoing legal issue with the French government might be negatively impacting TON’s prospects. The legal situation appears to have caused an abrupt halt to the recent rally that followed the cryptocurrency’s attempted recovery. Typically, crypto community members would expect Durov’s return to his home in Dubai to trigger positive sentiments for TON. The Interchain Foundation announces the open-sourcing of Cosmos EVM

The Interchain Foundation is funding the Tharsis Labs team to release an open-source evmOS, the Ethereum-compatible layer 1 solution targeted at boosting interoperability between Ethereum and Cosmos. The funding will see Tharsis Labs open-source evmOS, bringing Cosmos’ ( ATOM ) functionality to users on the Ethereum ( ETH ) network. Interchain Foundation, the entity helping to advance the Cosmos ecosystem and its Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol, announced the development on March 18. With evmOS, developers can build EVM-powered decentralized applications and chains using the Cosmos software development kit. Tharsis Labs will open-source the Ethereum virtual machine-compatible software under the Apache 2.0 license, Interchain Foundation said. In this case, ICF will fork evmOS’ technology and rename it Cosmos EVM, which will allow the Cosmos ecosystem’s steward to continue the project’s development. Cosmos EVM will be part of the Interchain Stack and be built under the Interchain Labs team. “We feel this is the right thing for the community for the longevity of the code we’ve developed, and are excited about the ICF’s support of this. According to the ICF, an open-source provenance will see further integration of the forked tech stack, bringing permissionless innovation to the space. As well as Ethereum compatibility, the Interchain Foundation aims to build evmOS into the solution all proof-of-stake networks can tap into for fresh web3 adoption. “evmOS has been a critical piece in bridging the Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems, and we are excited to support its continued evolution under the Interchain Foundation umbrella,” Josh Cincinnati, president of the ICF’s Foundation Council, said.
