Japanese company Remixpoint has announced an investment of 9 billion yen ($59 million), increasing its cryptocurrency reserves by more than 8,000 percent.

While many institutional firms are investing in Bitcoin (BTC) and various altcoins, one of Japan’s major companies, Remixpoint, announced that it has increased its crypto assets by 8,000%, generating $4.4 million in unrealized gains.

Japanese energy consultancy Remixpoint announced its third-quarter earnings and announced that it has invested 9 billion yen ($59 million), increasing its cryptocurrency reserves by more than 8,000% in nine months, CoinDesk reported.

Although Remixpoint focuses primarily on energy consulting, it also invests in Bitcoin as a hedge against the depreciation of the Japanese fiat currency Yen and offers support for trading in BTC.

While the majority of Remixpoint's investments are in Bitcoin, it also has investments in Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP and Dogecoin (DOGE).

The company's Bitcoin and altcoin investments appeared to accelerate after Donald Trump's election victory, aligning with a more positive regulatory outlook.
