Chairman of the State Duma Committee of Russia Anatoly Aksakov said that perhaps the country's regulation of cryptocurrencies should be relaxed.
According to the deputy, a large number of industry participants now believe that cryptocurrency circulation should be made simpler and more understandable for them.
Representatives of the national market believe that the overregulation within the experimental regime of cryptocurrency turnover is excessively high. According to the deputy, it is necessary to see how the situation will develop further in this direction, and, if necessary, certain adjustments can be made.
Anatoly Aksakov noted that there are no regulatory restrictions on the creation of Russian cryptocurrency exchanges and other instruments for the circulation of digital assets.
At the same time, the deputy drew attention to the fact that these instruments should be used to pay for goods and services abroad, that is, cryptocurrency cannot replace rubles when purchasing goods within the country.
Commenting on the statements of US President-elect Donald Trump regarding the development of the crypto market in the US, Aksakov said that he understands that this segment of the economy is the future in the global financial arena.
