Grayscale report: In Q4 2024, the market value of cryptocurrencies will exceed the total value of the global inflation-linked bond market
According to a report by Grayscale Research, the cryptocurrency market cap is expected to rise from $1 trillion to over $3 trillion by the last quarter of 2024, surpassing the global bond market value linked to inflation. At some point, the cryptocurrency market cap could even be twice the total market value of the US high-yield bond market. However, the report shows that the cryptocurrency market cap is still significantly smaller than the global hedge fund industry or Japan's stock market, which is worth around $4.5 trillion. As of December 31, 2024, the cryptocurrency market cap is around $3.3 trillion, and the significant growth in the fourth quarter is mainly attributed to Trump's election victory in November.
