Trump's World Liberty Buys More Ethereum Amid Plunge; ETH Up Over 10% Today
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance (DeFi) initiative linked to US President-elect Donald Trump, has made a massive new purchase of Ethereum (ETH) recently. Amid the recent drop in the price of the second largest cryptocurrency, WLFI renewed its investment in ETH by acquiring more tokens to its portfolio. Today, ETH has appreciated by more than 10%.
World Liberty Financial’s new Ethereum purchase was recently noted by analytics platform Lookonchain. “After the $ETH price crash, Trump’s World Liberty spent 2,5 million $USDT to buy 722 $ETH again 2 hours ago,” it wrote in a post on social media platform X.

According to on-chain data from Etherscan, these acquisitions had an immediate impact on the market, especially for Ethereum, which saw its price rise by 6,86% in just 24 hours. The majority of the investment went to Ethereum, with the purchase of 2.631 ETH at an average price of $3.801, totaling $10 million.
After the intense pullback during this week, the cryptocurrency market rose again yesterday, with the main assets showing considerable gains. ETH, XRP, DOGE and ADA are standing out with increases of more than 10% in the last day. Amid the price rise today, Ethereum reached a peak of $3.555, but did not sustain its upward movement and retreated to the current zone.
At press time, Ethereum’s price was trading at $3.414,92, up 5.6% over the past 24 hours. During this time, Ethereum (ETH) trading volume was $43.493.968.436, down 48,30% from a day ago and signaling a recent drop in market activity.
