The probability of the Fed keeping interest rates unchanged in January next year is 91.4 per cent, and the probability of cutting rates by 25 basis points is 8.6 per cent. The probability of keeping current rates unchanged by March next year is 53 per cent, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point cut is 43.4 per cent and the probability of a cumulative 50 basis point cut is 3.6 per cent.
