Mysten Labs Co-creation: The Sui mainnet plans to run on SCION before the end of the year
On November 13, Mysten Labs co-founder Adeniyi Abiodun introduced the SCION architecture and stated that the Sui mainnet plans to run on SCION by the end of the year. According to news in October, Sui has become the first L1 project to run on SCION (currently in testnet). SCION is a powerful alternative to routing and forwarding protocols in today's internet, which can enhance Sui's security and resilience. SCION protects Sui validators from many attacks that may occur on today's internet, such as rerouting and DDoS attacks, which have caused serious downtime for other networks. It allows validators to maintain consensus during an attack, increases epoch rewards, and benefits full nodes with better state synchronization, avoiding bottlenecks and retry delays.
