Deutsche Telekom joins Meta Pool to boost NEAR blockchain
Deutsche Telekom MMS has teamed up with Meta Pool, marking its role as the first major telecom company to operate a validator node on the NEAR (CRYPTO:NEAR) blockchain.
This strategic partnership aims to enhance network security and decentralisation, propelling NEAR’s capabilities to new heights.
The collaboration is part of Meta Pool’s Enterprise Node Operator (ENO) program, which integrates traditional enterprises into the decentralised landscape.
Meta Pool, a leader in liquid staking across multiple blockchains, developed the ENO program to unite established industries with blockchain networks.
With Deutsche Telekom's robust infrastructure, NEAR gains enterprise-level support, boosting reliability and scalability.
“With Deutsche Telekom’s world-class infrastructure expertise, we’re taking NEAR’s protocol to unprecedented levels of decentralisation and resilience,” stated Claudio Cossio, co-founder of Meta Pool.
Oliver Nyderle, Head of Digital Trust & Web3 Infrastructure at Deutsche Telekom MMS, emphasised the shared vision between the partners.
“NEAR stands out as an ecosystem that shares our vision of combining blockchain and AI with a decentralised approach that prioritises data privacy and security,” he said.
NEAR Protocol is known for its eco-friendly Layer 1 blockchain with sharding technology that ensures fast and efficient transactions.
This collaboration reinforces NEAR’s position as a platform that prioritises sustainability and user-focused solutions.
Meta Pool's initiative allows Deutsche Telekom to stay at the forefront of decentralised innovation and gain insights into blockchain technology.
At the time of reporting, the NEAR Protocol (NEAR) price was $5.62.
