Moonveil Announces Launch of Layer-2 Chain Testnet Powered by Polygon CDK
Moonveil , an innovative web3 game studio, has announced the forthcoming launch of their gamer-centric Layer-2 Chain testnet, which is powered by Polygon CDK. The studio’s goal of building an ecosystem that puts gamers first has reached a significant turning point with the much awaited release.
Using the zk-powered Polygon CDK and AggLayer, Moonveil’s Layer-2 Chain testnet provides developers with an adaptable and scalable solution and users with a smooth, quick, and secure experience.
Improved speed and efficiency across the network may be achieved by modularizing operations like transactions and oracles and spreading them over several layers and modules. This also has the added advantage of enhanced security and reduced operating costs.
Better modularization makes it easier for developers to test and incorporate new features and technologies without affecting the system as a whole, which is essential for quickly iterating gaming products.
M.J Wang, The Co-Founder and CEO of Moonveil Entertainment, said:
“Moonveil is excited to announce the upcoming launch of our Layer 2 Chain testnet, a key step toward revolutionizing gaming with unmatched scalability and performance. Powered by Polygon CDK and AggLayer, this chain offers a fast, secure, and customizable solution for developers and gamers alike. Alongside the launch, our node sales will soon begin, inviting the community to be a part of this transformative journey. “
Fast network finality, frequent validity proofs, and Polygon Zero technology—which provides the quickest ZK proof in the world—all contribute to Moonveil’s Layer-2 Chain’s high performance. Because it makes use of Polygon zkEVM, transaction costs are drastically lowered, thus gamers won’t have to worry about transaction costs. Meanwhile, developers can build a variety of dApps and games without having to rewrite code thanks to the usage of recursive STARK technology.
Smooth interoperability and cooperation across gaming products depend on uniform cross-chain liquidity, which is provided by Polygon Labs’ co-developed interoperability infrastructure, AggLayer. Mismatches between gas tokens and in-game tokens are also removed when $MORE tokens are used for gas, guaranteeing a seamless, chain-abstracted experience and simple user onboarding.
Additionally, the AggLayer makes it simple for developers to build independent spaces, allowing each gaming product the option to have one or more settings specifically designed for improved modular design. The ability to segment game sub-scenes further improves the overall design and arrangement of the game world.
Moonveil has announced the impending release of Flaming Pets, an on-chain game set in a magnificent realm of 25 enchanted castles, in conjunction with the testnet launch. The studio’s L2 technology will be maximized with the help of this strategic multiplayer arena game, which will also provide players with a thrilling, competitive gaming experience.
The studio believes it has produced the best-in-class experience for players engaging with its expanding game-focused ecosystem by guaranteeing strong security for state attestations, bridging, and cross-chain messaging. In the near future, Moonveil plans to start node sales, enabling its community to actively contribute to the development of its ecosystem.
Major investors include Gumi Cryptos, Spartan Group, Capital, HashKey Capital, Animoca Ventures, Hivemind, and Mask Network have contributed $9 million to Moonveil since its founding in 2022. This strong support demonstrates the industry’s faith in the studio’s expertise, technology, and ambition.
