Harris raises four times as many donations as Trump in final election sprints
Vice President Kamala Harris raised and spent far more than former President Donald Trump in August, and at the end of the month she'll have more cash to make a final push for the November election, according to the latest Federal Election Commission filings. The Harris campaign raised more than $189 million in August, more than four times the $44 million raised by the Trump campaign. The figures reflect money raised exclusively for the candidate's main campaign account and do not include contributions to other arms of his political campaign. The Harris campaign announced earlier this month that campaign contributions raised in conjunction with the Democratic National Committee and fundraising committees totaled $361 million in August. That dwarfs the $130 million raised by the Trump campaign and its joint fundraising committee.
