The roadmap highlights short-term development goals, but the team has teased major announcements during their speaking slot at the upcoming TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore. The event will take place on September 18 and 19 at the Marina Bay Sands Resort.
Chromia Have Announced The Mainnet Launch For Its On-Chain Storage Service, Filehub
While the roadmap is vague for the backend of 2024 and beyond, the timeline does outline deliverables expected by the end of Q3 this year. It includes the introduction of Native Staking, Bridge Enhancements, and the mainnet launch of Filehub.
Filehub will enable decentralized, on-chain storage for larger token metadata, such as images, animations, videos, and music. The service can also be used for general-purpose storage and support decentralized website hosting.
The launch of Chromia’s on-stage storage product is part of a broader strategy to position itself as a data service layer for Web3 projects across the industry. The aim is to branch out from its already established gaming ecosystem.
Chromia is used on the backend for multiple Web3 games, including My Neighbor Alice, Mines of Dalarnia, Chain of Alliance, and Cloudborn.

Chromia’s Co-Founder Speaks On The Future Of The Project
Chromia’s co-founder, Henrik Hjelte spoke on the future of the project. He said, “TOKEN2049 will be a pivotal moment where we outline our future plans. The big idea is that our Mainnet is ready, and now we’re shifting our focus to ecosystem expansion.”
The Layer-1 blockchain is capitalizing on its growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region by securing a spot at TOKEN2049. This push into such a hot region for web3 began at the end of 2023 with the hiring of ex-DeFiance Capital executive Yeou Jie Goh as Head of Asia Pacific (APAC).
Chromia will present at TOKEN2049 on Thursday afternoon (September 18). The team has promised that the full roadmap will be revealed at that time.
