COTI partners with Civic to protect users’ digital identities
According to CryptoPotato, Web3 infrastructure and data protection company COTI has partnered with digital identity management platform Civic to provide users with the confidentiality and autonomy of their digital identities. According to a statement sent to CryptoPotato, the alliance will allow Civic to use the Ethereum-based COTI V2 privacy layer, which provides dynamic decentralized identity (DID). COTI V2’s confidentiality layer enables users to manage their digital identities to avoid data breaches, involuntary monetization and hacking, while providing verification, computation and encryption services. COTI and Civic work together to provide users with complete data privacy, allowing them to protect their data when interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) and exploring Web3 use cases. These dApps will interact with Civic’s digital identities and insights without accessing sensitive data. COTI’s dynamic DID will leverage Civic Pass, and Civic will be a design partner integrating with COTI V2 during all development stages of the blockchain. Civic Pass is a verified credential and private, non-transferable token in a user’s wallet that is used to meet anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
